3 bouys Seafood Shanty & Grille

Located just north of the When Pigs Fly company store in Kittery (see previous post), I'm not saying this is the best local restaurant around.  But the sandwiches were reasonable and the French Fries I ordered with my BLT were hot and tangy.  Laurie had a roast beef sandwich.  I wish they'd bought their bread from When Pigs Fly.

Regardless, the place did have some local color.  A few pictures are below.  Check out two of the many hot sauces that were available.

When Pigs Fly

When Pigs Fly is an awesome bread company.  We're happy to find a few flavors in our local grocery store.  But during a quick trip up to Kittery, Maine over the weekend we came upon their Company Store.  It's a bit north of the main shopping district along Route 1.

I wish we'd bought more than just one loaf.  The bread we purchased was on orange bread with walnuts and cranberries.  It's a great breakfast bread. All the breads I saw were whole loaves, uncut to retain freshness.

You will see in one of the images below that they've set up a bar for sampling a huge assortment of breads, complete with dips, jams and jellies.

The big and heavy loaves were nicely priced (in our opinion) at $6 each.

It's a great day today.

Got an email this morning timestamped 2:30 am.  Reed has landed in Indiana.  He hopes to be back here at home next week, "mid-week".

I guess it's time to put the skis away

A couple of photos taken outdoors yesterday.

(Actually, there's no need to put the skis away... I never had a chance to take them out in the first place!)

Fiber? Are you kidding?

Back in the old days, these were called Sugar Pops.  I guess Corn Pops sounds healthier.  But "good source of fiber".... Really?  Are you kidding?

Got attitude!

Pretty obvious who this is?  Probably circa 1984(?)

I remember taking this picture as if it were yesterday.

"Don't even think about messin' with me"

Got Oatmeal?

Dear Family,  Any guesses as to who this is?  (Hint: 1983)

New paint

Mark Pearce just finished stripping wallpaper in two areas of the house and applying a couple of coats of Benjamin Moore paint.  He spruced up some of the trim, too.

The front hall, stairway and second floor hallway were painted with the tan-ish color (Dunmore Cream), and Georgian Green was used for the back hall.  The first picture below shows the two colors side by side, with some China White trim inbetween.  But the color varies significantly depending on the light source.

It all looks so good, it's almost a shame to put things back up on the walls.
